Natural Confetti Recipe

janekershaw1

Create a beautiful, eco-friendly confetti blend for your celebration using dried flowers like rose petals and blue cornflower petals. This natural confetti is not only stunning, but also kind to the environment.

Here’s how to make it:

Ingredients:

Dried rose petals

Dried blue cornflower petals

Other optional flower petals: (e.g., delphinium petals, lavender, or marigold for additional colour)

Measurements:

1 litre (1L) of dried petals = approximately 5-6 large handfuls of mixed petals.

For 60 guests, you will need 12 litres of dried petals.

For 100 guests, you will need 20 litres of dried petals.

For 140 guests, you will need 28 litres of dried petals.

Instructions:

Gather Your Ingredients: Start by collecting your dried rose petals and blue cornflower petals. If you are adding other flowers, ensure they are fully dried and free of moisture to prevent clumping. You can either purchase dried petals or dry your own by leaving fresh petals to air dry in a warm, dry space for several days.

Measure the Petals: Using a 1-litre measuring jug, measure out your petals. For a balanced confetti, aim for about 70-80% rose petals and 20-30% blue cornflower petals. The rose petals provide a soft, romantic feel, while the blue cornflower petals add a burst of vibrant colour.
