To diffuse in a traditional burner, simply fill dish with water and add a few drops of oil on top before lighting the candle. For electrical fragrancers, follow instructions given by the manual. For massage: dilute in a carrier oil and gently massage over the skin. Add a few drops to a handkerchief or inhale directly from the bottle if you are on the go. Dilute in distilled water and pour into spray bottle for an all-natural room fragrancer.

Cinnamon blends especially well with benzoin, cloves, coriander, cardamom, frankincense, ginger, grapefruit, lavender, rosemary and thyme.

Originally from Madagascar and south east Asia, now mostly cultivated and produced in Sri Lanka. The Cinnamon tree is a bushy evergreen that grows to between 5 and 15 metres in height. The leaves from which the oil is obtained are harvested all year round (but not during the rainy season). To cut down on the amount of time needed for distillation, the leaves are picked and then left to dry for a few days as dry leaves can be processed much more quickly. The essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves of the plant. This is either done in a traditional wooden still (which can hold up to 200Kg of leaves) or by using a metal vessel. 

Great for home fragrance; add to a few drops to a diffuser or traditional burner to create a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere in the home. Dilute to a maximum of 1% in a in a carrier oil and use in massage to help warm and stimulate.

Traditionally used as an anti-inflammatory agent, aphrodisiac, skin conditioner and deodorant.
